My identity and background as a book author, designer, and publisher for children has had a significant impact on how I create and design projects.

The books I created as a designer, writer, or as an illustrator are extensions of my education, imagination, values, and original perspective on the world. The books in my portfolio are not lifeless objects, every book has meaning and carries within its pages the voice, vision, and emotional life of the originator of these works. This is a highly personal process; the boundary separating oneself from work sometimes vanishes.

This portfolio showcases some of the hundreds of books I’ve created and designed over the past 45 years, reflecting both the evolution of my work and changes in technology and the different styles of children's books I originated. The books honour the talented and enthusiastic writers, artists, and publishers I was fortunate to work with who brought my concepts to life. I believe in the power of discovery, and my books aimed to spark curiosity in young readers.

While I’m proud of my past work, my focus is on creating fresh, new projects that inspire and engage the next generation of lifelong readers, learners and explorers.

Eliminating your name from a work you have created and designed and seeing it being 'refreshed' is like severing the link between you and your work, leaving behind something that was unique but is no longer clearly identifiable. It is like losing a small portion of yourself - an erasure quite confusing, terrible, and useless...akin to being 'cancelled'...
